Ingredients
Bread - use your preference of bread! Just make sure it's toasted.
Mayo - Homemade (recipe below) or use your favorite!
Meat - I use cooked bacon, deli turkey and ham slices.
Fresh tomatoes, sliced.
Cheese - I use cheddar cheese, sub for any cheese you prefer.
Lettuce - I use romaine lettuce, sub for any lettuce you prefer.
Homemade Mayo:
Egg - The main ingredient in mayo, there is no mayo without egg.
Dijon Mustard - Optional but adds a little tanginess to the mayo.
Lemon juice - I use freshly squeeze but store bought works.
1/4 Olive oil - Regular, not EVOO! We want the thich consistency.
Vegetable oil can be used too.
Mixing
Add to blender / processor and blend until thick consistency. (30
seconds)
Directions
Assemble - spread 1 TSBP of mayo on one side of each slice of bread. Arrange 2 slices down on your cutting board with mayo side up. Top each slice with half of turkey, tomatoes, and a slice of cheddar cheese.
Finish - Place a slice of bread with mayo side down over the cheddar cheese. Top each with ham, 3 slices bacon and 2 leaves of lettuce. Season with salt and pepper and place remaining slices of bread over the lettuce with mayo side down.
Serve - Cut the sandwiches in half or quarters and serve with potato chips.
